WHO WE ARE
The Epsilon Phi Lambda chapter was re-chartered on July 13, 2021 at the 96th Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. during the
General Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. The chapter’s home was established in Grapevine, Texas. The chapter is seated in the district of Texas (Texas Council of Alpha Chapters) in the Southwestern Region of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Through meetings, social events, conventions, and service events, the exponential growth of the DFW area, the brothers in the chapter saw the need for the presence of Alpha in the HEB-I area. The idea of establishing a charter to serve this need was presented, and met with great excitement. This dedication led to long nights and early mornings full of demographic research, proposal writing, and constant communication with supportive brothers to help ensure the approval of the chapter. During the summer of 2021, the petition was made by 17 brothers to the national headquarters for chartering a graduate chapter, and it was accepted. The Epsilon Phi Lambda Chapter determined that their legacy should live forever in the chapter’s constitution.
The focus of the chapter is reclamation and retention for the fraternity. The charter members consist of a combination of brothers associated with local chapters as well as general members. Epsilon Phi Lambda will instill true brotherhood in every endeavor.
The brothers of the Epsilon Phi Lambda chapter will always uphold the ideals set by our dear fraternity which sets to develop leaders, promotes brotherhood and academic excellence, while providing service and advocacy for our communities.
